What is pickleball and how do you play it?

What is pickleball?
Pickleball is a fun and fast-paced sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It is played with a paddle and a perforated plastic ball on a court similar to a badminton court, but with a slightly modified tennis net.​​

New to pickleball? Here's how you play
Pickleball is played either in singles or doubles. The ball must be served underhand and land in the opponent's service court, with the main goal of scoring points by hitting the ball over the net in such a way that the opposing player/team cannot return it. Games are typically played to 11 points, and a team must win by 2 points.​​

What are the court hours of operation?

11 A.M – 6 P.M. : S$40 per hour per court
6 P.M. – 10 P.M. : S$45 per hour per court

​What is the skill level of the players at the club?
​Our club welcomes players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. We organize various events and leagues to cater to different experience levels, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the game.

​Can I bring my own equipment?
Absolutely! Feel free to bring your own paddles and balls. We encourage players to use their own equipment for a more personalized experience.
​Is there parking available?
Yes, there is parking available at the Novotel hotel. Please follow hotel guidelines for parking access.
​What should I wear while playing?
We recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothing and non-marking court shoes to ensure safety and proper playing conditions.
​Are there any restrictions on playing during inclement weather?
In case of inclement weather, check our website or contact us for updates on court availability. We prioritize player safety and may close the courts as necessary.
​How do I know which court to play on?
​Please ensure you play on your designated court as per your reservation on the Playtomic app. Signage will be available to guide you to the correct court, and our staff is happy to assist you if you have any questions about court assignments.
Cancellation, Rebooking & Refund
Court reservations can be canceled via the Playtomic app. Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees. If you need to edit your reservation, you must cancel the old reservation and rebook a new one; a cancellation fee will apply if not done within the 60-minute grace period. Cancellations made within the club's policy will receive an immediate refund to your selected payment method (including Playtomic service fees).
